Columbia Harvest Festifall Returns
The Columbia Chamber of Commerce hosts its 32nd annual Harvest Festifall October 8 and 9 on the streets of Columbia State Historic Park. The event runs 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Saturday, and 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Sunday.
“I am looking forward to a fresh corn on the cob and some harvest Cheer,” said vendor Peg Reza, who will sell her “Butterfly Earwings.”

My Fair Lady Opens 37th Season at Sierra Rep
Sierra Repertory Theatre opens its 2016 season with its 300th production, My Fair Lady, a story of ambition, diligence, social boundaries and love.
“Three hundred shows is quite a landmark,” said Sara Jones, SRT managing director and one of five friends who founded the theater company 36 years ago. “We have fantastic memories of lots of those shows and know our audience does too.”

Sierra Rep to Host Mary Poppins Kids Night Out
Sierra Repertory Theatre will host an evening of balloons, coloring books, face painting and costumes beginning an hour before its March 27, 7 p.m. performance of Mary Poppins. Child tickets for the musical are available through the Box Office at just $15 each with code word “Holiday.” Activities start at 6 p.m. and will include a Disney costume contest. The winner will receive free tuition to the SRT JR. workshop of his or her choice. Upcoming opportunities include the Spring Break Mary Poppins Camp and a spring workshop focusing on playwriting, improv and technical theatre.

Cameron Group Looks to Future with New Leadership
Lawrence K Donovan, a long-time presence in the nuclear, management, finance and construction communities, will lead The Cameron Group as the new Chairman of the Board, the Group announced at a November 10 board meeting.

Wizard of Oz to open July 5 at 24th Street Theatre
The merry old land of Oz comes to downtown Sacramento July 5-28 at the 24th Street Theatre when Runaway Stage Productions presents “The Wizard of Oz.” Join Dorothy as she’s swept away from Kansas and enters a world of colorful characters. Dance down the yellow brick road with her companions, Scarecrow, Tinman, and Lion. And click your heels together as you discover the real story of OZ in this fantastic musical treat for the whole family.

Students to Publish Book on Baseball, Culture and Dreams
Equipped with notebooks and cameras, thirteen Biola University students spent a week in April gathering information and photographs for a book, “The Dominican Dream: A Passion for Baseball, a Love of Family and a Hope for the Future,” to be published later this year.

Naomi Carroll Sings at Premiere
Warr & Peace Records recording artist Naomi Carroll is continuing to make a name for herself around the U.S., most recently performing at the premiere of the film “Flag Of My Father” starring John Schneider and William Devane.
